Willow Design has released five new cases specifically designed for the Apple 17-inch PowerBook, which has recently begun shipping.
The cases range from a thin slipcase designed to be slipped into other bags to a protective two-level case for the road warrior with lots of peripherals. The cases are constructed of polyester and nylon fabric with a half-inch of foam protection throughout, reinforced by combinations of corrugated plastic, high density polyethylene on the handle side, and hardboard on the bottom.
The US$64 Sylph Slipcase offers a front pocket and expandable rear pockets that lie flat when not in use. The $70 Clearwater Slipcase sports a vertical orientation designed to minimize space in tight commuting quarter, and the US$87 Vermillion Slipcase offers places to stash your power supply, cord, and some accessories. The $85 Mission Light Slipcase is designed to be extremely lightweight.
The $136 Kemano Carry Case is designed to offer maximum protection. The upcoming $169 Edgewater Backpack will hold the 17-inch PB, accessories, and papers.
