Macworld’s David Price recently wrote, “Apple Vision Pro is a flop… just like the iPod.” And a couple of people took issue with the headline that–in our opinion–wasn’t understood completely.

The difference? The market is already flooded with VR/AR headsets for way cheaper. Also of note, it’s a super niche market. Everyone listens to music, but not everyone cares to play with VR, and at the end of the day, that’s what it is; a toy. Just like the iPad.

Apple seems to be plowing ahead with the idea that thinness is its next innovation. But is it really something users are asking for?

And finally, it doesn’t seem like Apple has any idea of what to do with the iPad. But some people think we’re overthinking it.
