The design hasn’t changed since the original model arrived in 2019 but the 2nd-gen buds have longer battery life (6 hours vs 4.5 hours), enhanced spatial audio, Adaptive Transparency mode, and improved 2X noise cancellation. Along with a case that has USB-C for charging, the updated 2nd-gen AirPods Pro also bring better dust resistance and lossless audio for Vision Pro. Otherwise, it has fantastic noise cancelation and audio and a slew of fun features like Conversation Boost and Adaptive Audio.
In our 4.5-star review, we declared the 2nd-gen AirPods Pro as “the best choice for those who use Apple products,” but at the price, it’s great for everyone else too.
