Keyspan is shipping a new line of retractable computer cables: the ZIP-LINQ, which consists of over a dozen USB, FireWire, PDA, phone, and Ethernet connectivity solutions. Pricing for the cables ranges from US$13.99 for retractable USB cables to $15.99 for retractable Palm cables.
“Mobile computing is on the rise,” said Keyspan President Mike Ridenhour. “Many computer users need to have USB, FireWire, Phone and Ethernet connectivity when traveling — yet the tangle of cables can quickly fill their laptop bag. Our ZIP-LINQ retractable cables are quite small — about the size of a quarter — yet expand to 30 inches or more.”
You can extend them to full length by pulling on both ends. Tug again and the cable retracts back into its housing. The ZIP-LINQ line of cables is a result of Keyspan’s partnership with Cables Unlimited, a Concord, California-based manufacturer and distributor of cables.
