Apple has already put into rotation on prime time television a thirty-second advertising spot for its popular iPod device. The ad features the music of hip hop artists Black Eyed Peas (a featured artist on Apple's iTunes Music Store). Apple has released iPod Software Update 2.0.1, which offers restore and update features to iPods with a dock connector. (Touch-wheel and scroll-wheel iPod owners without a dock connector should download iPod Software Update 1.3.) According to Apple, iPod Software Update v2.0.1 offers better support for Asian languages; enhanced On-The-Go playlist functionality; improved playback performance; better handling of MP3 VBR songs; improved backlighting, and an enhanced alarm clock.
